Inpro makes major investment in product testing to meet global standards.
Milwaukee, Wis. – August 14, 2018 – Inpro has passed Intertek Group testing of its Fireline™ Fire Barrier products manufactured in Mumbai, India. The Intertek certified barriers also meet Dubai Civil Defense (DCD) standards.
The two Fireline systems tested through Intertek, the 520 and 140, are available in both vertical and horizontal applications and meet multiple hour rating requirements. In addition to gaining the Intertek and DCD certifications, these systems also meet UL 2079 standards.
Fireline also holds several patents incorporating vapor and water barrier systems to reduce a building’s exposure to the elements, protecting the integrity of the fire barrier system.
Playing a critical role in a building’s passive fire protection, the installation of fire blankets and fire-stop materials in expansion joints compartmentalizes smoke and flame in the building, reducing occupants’ exposure to those hazards and allowing more time for egress.
The production of Fireline products in India radically increases delivery speeds for projects in the Middle East, across Asia and the Pacific nations. The India operation is one of three Fireline production plants – the main plant in Buffalo, N.Y., at Inpro’s Phoenix, Ariz., production and warehousing facility, and Mumbai.
